Organizing Our Home

March 30, 2012:
I have been loving all of these blogs about organizing lately.  The ideas and solutions are amazing.  I love being organized.  It makes life easier and cleaner.  As a family of five with three dogs... we need easier and cleaner.  I started my whole house organization project by making a list.  I love lists.  I have lists for everything.  *organized* (my husband calls it OCD...)

I took every room in my house that has a space for storage.  Then I listed the items that I'd like to keep in that area.  Added notes on top about the items needed to make this possible.  I didn't include areas like bedrooms and bathrooms.  I am sure I'll get to those eventually.

I have no idea which room I'll start with first.  Maybe this weekend I could tackle at least one of these spaces.  Some areas just need light organizing.  Other areas will need light construction work and painting.  Room by room... I'll get organized.  Any suggestion?  I'd love to see the spaces you've organized.

Garage door openers
Extra keys and spare parts
Seeds for gardening, sparklers, and insect repelents for outdoors

Even snuck in a bonus closet organizing!

April 13, 2012:
Happy Friday the 13th!  I am so proud of all my organization lately.  I used to get overwhelmed thinking about all the projects I needed to tackel.  Handling them one area at a time is really working out for me.  I am loving getting organized!  This week I worked on the kitchen a little more and got rid of a bunch of old books.  Feels great to have less.  Makes what we have that much more valuable.
Okay, the kids crafts made it back in to the kitchen, but in a better place this time.
